Hello Friends welcome to the new PAF release called Rosa Floribunda. I am so glad you are joining me on my blog from the very creative and talented Norine Borys blog. I hope are getting tons of inspirations as you are hoping along.
Paint a Flower is my most favorite releases of all as it suggest in the name "PAINT" and I love coloring "FLOWER". With that said this release has a beautiful flower bunch that you will love to color with mediums of your choice. For my Rosa Floribunda I chose to color with alcohol markers in two different styles.
The first card I decided to keep it simple and did some basic blending. If you are new to topic or any alcohol markers it just means you blend from dark to light or vice versa. I chose some peachy colors for these bunch of flowers. The flowers were stamped with a very soft Gray Altenew Crisp ink called Silver Lake on a white card stock colored and then fussy cut.
On a white Card panel I softly sponged Altenew Pink Pearl ink and then stamped the flower Bunch once again using Altenew Silver Lake crisp ink. On this panel I only colored the stems and the leaves portion of the Rosa Floribunda Stamp and then splattered gold metallic paint. Before adhering the Flowers to the panel I kept the fussy cut florals in its place as a place holder and stamped the word Aunt across the base panel and the flower.
By the way the sentiments in this stamp set are very beautiful. This one is going to may aunt who is more a friend to me than an aunt. We have few years between us and grew up together most of our childhood years. Now because of Covid we have not met each other for over 2 years and I miss her a lot. Any way going back to the card, after the stamping was done using Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment ink, the flowers were adhere in position using foam adhesive. The additional sentiment was stamped on a white card stock and cut into a thin strip and placed just above the Aunt with foam adhesive.
For my second card and style of coloring I decided to do some details and add textures with alcohol markers. For this I stamped my image with Altenew Jet black ink and colored flowers with red tones and the leaves with green tones of markers. This time I fussy cut the entire image.
For the white card panel I positioned the flowers on the left edge of the yardstick and stamped the word cousin using black ink. Romoved the flowers and then splattered it using black paint. If you notice, there are two dots of black paint on my flowers, as they were kept very close to the surface where I was splattering, and couple drops got on them ::(
When the splattered paint was dry I adhered the flowers on the left edge with a over hang using foam tape. I then cut the over hang. Let me know what you think, which style of coloring do you like? Thank you so much for stopping and hanging with me for a while as you hop along and your NEXT STOP is the very talented and fun Emily Midgett.
