Love In Your Heart | Rubbernecker Stamps

Hello friends,

Preeti here on the the Rubbernecker blog its been a while since I posted as I am still battling the virus and remain in isolation. This week seemed a bit better so I sneaked into my favorite place in the whole world my craft room and created this card. Spring is my favorite season of all, mainly because it is a reminder of hope. A hope that no matter how long the Winter may seem, and how dead the plants and trees look they will spring back to life when its Spring.

Lately with everything happening around us it seems like its never going to end. Everyday there are lives being lost, people loosing jobs, families breaking apart children going hungry, but I want to believe and I have hope that Spring is coming. Even in this weariness we can find comfort in each other while sharing kindness and love. Just like on a cold bitter Winter night you would find comfort cuddled up by the fire side listening to it crackle and shining its warm glow and light. Todays card is a reminder of that. There is hope and I have faith that this too shall pass, until then we stay strong, stay safe and stay united . The sentiment for this card is well suited for this time in our lives. One of my favorite things about Rubbernecker products are their sentiment stamps, there seems to be a sentiment for almost everything you want to say.

I decided to use only colored cardstock today to make this card. Sometimes I don't like the images to have a white border around it when I die cut them or fussy cut them, but by using cardstock in the same color family as your inks, can solve the white border problem. In this case today I used a light coral pink cardstock for my flowers and a green cardstock for my leaves. I wanted this card to be bright and colorful and in order to do that I kept away from all neutral tones, except the white embossed sentiment.

Start by stamping the layered floral images from It's Spring Time stamp set. Stamp the large and the small flower image using Rubbernecker Color Fuse inks in Posey, Scarlet and Crimson on a light pink cardstock. Heat emboss the center of the flower using gold embossing powder.Fussy cut the floral image leaving a small border

Stamp the leaves on a green cardstock. Stamp some leaves in Mist Green ink and a some in Clover green ink. Emboss the outline of the laves using gold embossing powder.Fussy cut the leaves leaving a small border.

Stamp the Sentiment from In Your Heart stamp onto a red card stock and heat emboss it with white embossing powder. Cut this sentiment into a fishtail banner using a paper trimmer.

Adhere these stamped and embossed elements onto a teal cardstock, cut to 41/4x51/2 inches Adhere this teal panel to a top folding white notecard , add a few clear gems and the card is finished

This card is a good way to use the scrap colored cardstocks that we all have in a bin. I also realized stamping on a colored cardstock made these Fuse inks looks even more vibrant. We would love to see what you guys are upto with all the Rubbernecker products you have. Don't forget to post them on the Rubbernecker Facebook Fan Page. I am so glad that you are seeing progress. I'm sure it has been difficult. I know that I am getting much better during an illness when I can sit up in my craft room and do a little something. Your beautiful, intricate card should tell you that you are doing much better, and a healthy you is right around the corner. YAY!!!!!!! I love the sentiment with the flowers. How beautiful. You are right, times have been SO HARD for some of us, even if we and our families are healthy. I won't mention what our family has been going through, but it is unreal. But I trust that God will use all of this for good in the end.…

What a gorgeous card. Love that colored cardstock. I hope you feel better soon. I'm sorry to hear you caught that nasty virus. I have been cooped up in my house forever!! I have a weakened immune system due to fibromyalgia. My husband is fearful I will catch this virus so he insists i stay home. He works, shops and does everything. He is my Hero. Take care of yourself. I'm so glad you felt well enough to delight us with this beautiful card!!

Beautiful card -- and what a great way to use up some of my old colored card stock! Why haven't I thought of this before??? I love. your colors on the flowers! How are you feeling? I am now sewing (after dusting off my sewing my machine -- literally I'm afraid -- masks for my sister's hospital, they are so low on the PPE masks, they are using them only with patients and are using homemade masks around the hospital. I'm also making some for my daughter's bakery employees out of some cute cupcake fabric I bought um.... not last year.... to make her an apron with... um.. er... anyway, God must have made me lazy that year so I'…
