Postage christmas card

Hello friends,

I have been making Christmas cards for a few months now, I have a playlist over at my Youtube channel called Christmas cards and I am hoping you get a chance to take a look. For today's card I went a bit whimsical. I used the Ho Ho Postage Stamp and Dies from SSS for this card.

I started by stamping the images on a white cardstock with SSS intense black ink and colored them using copic colors. I die cut larger postage frame on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock with a Mama Elephant Peek-A-Frame die. Then I stenciled some snowflake using SSS Snowflake stencil and SSS White Pigment Ink.

Copic Colors Used:

  • POSTAGE BACKGROUND 1- BG49 BG15 BG23

  • POSTAGE BACKGROUND 2- R27 R24 R22

  • POSTAGE BACKGROUND 3- G28 G17 G14

  • BAUBLE- BG49 BG15 BG23

  • POSTAGE EDGES- C3 C1 C0

On a top folding Lawn Fawn Egg Shell cardstock I created a diagonal stripe background using SSS Red Glitter cardstock cut into 1/4 inch thickness. I adhered the kraft die cut frame and all the colored images onto the stripe background using foam tape. I also added the red strips to the flap of my SSS Khaki Envelope to make it cohesive. I did not adhere the strips diagonally on the envelope flap instead went straight up and down.

Tip: The foam tape usually does not stick very well on glitter or rough surfaces, but if you add liquid adhesive on the foam tape it will adhere to any surface. by adding liquid adhesive to the foam tape you will not loose the dimension.

I would love to know what you do with your Christmas and Holiday cards you make in the comments below. Thank you for stopping by, I will see you on my next post, until then stay bright and share some handmade love.
