Altenew 8th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway (over $2,000 in Total Prizes)


Hello Friends, I am so excited to be joining the celebration blog hop at Altenew for their 8th Anniversary. I have been a huge fan of Altenew since their very first launch 8 years ago. I always get excited whenever they have something new, especially their floral illustrations. I have learnt a lot of my coloring techniques over the years by coloring different florals stamps by Altenew. I am so honored to be part of their guest design team and to be a part of Anniversary Blog hop. This is Day two of the hop there are so many great designers on this blog hp as well as some amazing giveaway. My card today features a thank you card as a tribute to this amazing company that

I believe has brought out the creator/ artist in me. Over the years Altenew has come out with so many different kinds of coloring mediums and each one of them are extraordinary. The latest of the mediums are the Woodless Color Pencils, which I have used in my project today along with the Altenew Artist Markers which is one of my favorite mediums.

I selected the Paint A Flower Sweet Pea stamp for the Floral image for this card, which I stamped using Jet Black ink (This ink is compatible with Alcohol Markers like the Altenew Artist Markers.)

I did the base coloring using Artist Markers and then added Woodless color pencils over them to create depth and variation in colors on the petals. Once I had done with coloring all the flowers and the stamps I added the background colors using the Woodless Pencils in blue, yellow and pink shades. (Keep a very light hand as these colors are very pigmented. A heavy hand will give you very dark and pigmented colors. You can always build the color by layering the colors.)

I die cut the word thanks on a black card stock. To create some dimension and added glossy accents and glitter. The additional sentiment is from the Sentiment 3 set.
