Hello friends,
I am super excited today to be on the Coffee Loving Card Makers blog hop. I am featuring two cards todays using Rubbernecker stamps. Visit the Coffee Loving Blog for all the details and fun prizes you can win.
I love coffee and I can't start my day without having one in the morning on my bed. Ever since our marriage , I have enjoyed the luxury of coffee in bed. Sujith loves to make coffee, not the same old filter coffee, but every morning it's a different kind. French press, espresso, filter, percolator, pour over you name it and he will make it. The fact is that I never enjoyed coffee before our marriage, but over the years I have begun to like it and now its more like the day can't start without a coffee and kiss from my hubby.
Any how moving on to the cards for today.
Card 1:
Start by heat embossing the Coffee Background stamp on to a bristol smooth white card stock using white embossing powder.
Blend the brown shades from Color fuse Ink Set #3, starting from the darkest shade in the bottom to the lightest on the top. Die cut a circle offsetting it to the left of the blended background, where the french press and coffee pot images are located.
Stamp the Coffee Background once again using a light gray ink focusing mainly on the french press and the coffee pot.
Color the french press and the coffee pot using copic markers and fussy cut them both.
On a top folding white note card stamp the Coffee Background once again using Color Fuse Cinnamon Ink and blend bend the Mocha ink only around the area where the french press and the Coffee pot are located.
Adhere the white embossed and ink blended Coffee Background panel using foam adhesive over the white top folding note card.
Adhere the coffee apparatus using foam adhesive over the images located on the background.
Stamp and white heat emboss the sentiment on a black cardstock and adhere it to the bottom of the coffee pots to ground them.
Add a few gem stones and you are done.
Card 2:
Start by stamping the sentiment on a white cardstock using black pigment ink and heat set it with clear embossing powder.
Create a mask in the shape of the sentiment or use the sentiment stamp's protective sheet as a mask.
Stamp the Coffee Bean Background stamp over the mask using a copic friendly black ink.
Color the coffee beans in different shades of brown copic colors. I used E49, E29 E27 E25 E23 E39 E37 E35 E33 and E31.
Color the sentiment area which we had masked earlier while stamping he background with shades of green, I used G28 G17 G07 G05 and G02.
When the coloring is all done fussy cut the edges of the background to mach the shape of the Coffee Bean Background.
Adhere this colored panel on to a top folding white note card using foam adhesive.
Add a few gem stones in the green area of the card and you are done.
I hope you enjoy the blog hop while sipping a cup of you favorite coffee and leave me comment telling me what kind of coffee you like or if you don't like coffee. Have a great day and I will see you next time!! Love you all and stay safe.
