Leaf Canopy Stamp Set Altenew

Hello All,

Today's card is all about adding shine and glitter to your card. i am currently doing the Let It Shine Class from Altenew Academy. This class is taught by none other the glirtter queen Carissa Wiley. She is an amazing designer and card maker and her cards definitely shimmer and shine. For my card I was inspired by her lesson on adding shimmer and sparkle pens. I love the look of gold on water color images they just add an elegant touch to your project.

I started by stamping the leaf image from Altenew's Leaf Canopy stamp set using Antique Linen distress ink as I wanter to do some no line coloring. I used the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers Spring Garden Set for coloring this card. I chose three different shades of green from the set and started to add paint on each leaf, I wanted the leaves to have a very rich and vibrant colors. I used a the Arches Hot Press watercolor paper as I wanted this card to have a very rich and luxurious finish.

After I had finished painting all the leaf images I let it dry completely. When it was completely dried I drew in some fine detail veins on the leaves using Gansai Tambi Starry Colors gold paint. I used a very fine detailing watercolor brush to add the gold . I wanted the sentiment to be very simple which I stamped in black in the right upper corner and added some Metallic Rose Gold gem stones from Pretty Pink Posh and I was done. I really loved how this card turned out. I also made an envelope using the same watercolor paper and painted a gold edge around it to match the card. The card size is a 4 bar card which is 31/2x47/8 inches in measurement.
