Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Sunburst Azalea Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in total prizes)
Hello beautiful. welcome to the new CAF Sunburst Azalea Release by Altenew for March 2022. This post is a release blog hop for the new Craft A Flower Die set. Very often I tend to do very bright and bold flowers on my cards, but for todays card project using the new CAF Azalea flower I decide to go with soft colors. The CAF Azalea flower in this release packs a whole lot of impact and a little went a long way .
I started by die cutting all the pieces from the CAF Azalea set with white card stock. I added colors using Altenew's Frozen Delight and Jewel Tones crisp die inks. For the rosy of the flowers I chose Orange Sorbet and Strawberry from the Frozen Delight ink sets. For the stamens and veins of the flower I used Rhodalite and Raw Apricot from the Jewel Tone Ink set
The leaves were colored using Green Onyx also from the Jewel Tone set.
Once all the layers were colored building of the flower is very easy and comes together super fast. To make the card, I started by adding Altenew Splatter Hot Foil in gold on a white card base. Then added three CAF Azalea flowers to the bottom of the splattered card stock.
The sentiments are from Altenew's Sentiment Strips 3 set, which were embossed on black card stock with white embossing powder.
