Today I have five different cards to share with you and each of them showcase the new dies from this release, so grab your favorite drink and let's begin.
Fro the first card I used the Sneaky Kittens die from the December 2020 release. I cut apart two kittens from the die and colored them with zig watercolor brush markers. I debated between stockings and this floral boots for the kittens to peek out off. I finally went with he boots, I know we are still in the Christmas season but the boots made the kittens look playful and fun!! What do you think I should have gone with , boots or Christmas stocking?
The floral boot die is from an old release called Rainbow Planter. For the background I first watercolored using pink and blue shades and then adhered the SSS Leafy Frame Die which I die cut using white card stock. The sentiment is from sentiment strips Thinking Of You collection.
For the second card I used the Bold Thankful CZ Designs Die to create a simple thank you card for the holidays. i am always cramming for thank you cards after Christmas to send out. I love the simplicity of this die so keeping the all the elements to the minimal was important as well. I wanted the die to be focus of this card.
I used the Holly And Pine Frame Die to create add at the back of the thankful die, which I colored using Zig brush markers. I also used only the bow from the Candy Canes wafer die set to add to the wreath.
I really love how this card turned out. I used the new Simple Stem Diecmebr 2020 die to create a holly bush. Back in NY we had a holly bush in the backyard and every time it snowed the snow would settle on the steps and the berries and it was truly a beautiful site. This card is a reminiscence to the winters in NY.
I splattered some white paint on the black card stock to look like snow in the dark night sky. I colored the Simple Stem die with zig colors. The sentiment is from the Holiday Greeting Mix 1 stamp set.
Alright so i fell in love with this new Dainty Snowflake die from the Diecember 2020 release and I had to make two cards with it. For the first card here I went with a tall slimline card. I created a lot of texture using white embossing powder for the background. I rubbed embossing ink along the edges of a white card stock and sprinkled white embossing powder and heat set it to give a frosted look. Then I used the SSS Snowflakes stencil and added crackle paste to the edges of the card stock, while the paste was still wet, I add some glitter to it and let it to dry and crackle.
While the cardstock was drying, I went ahead and cut several of the Dainty Snowflakesusing a white card stock. I applied embossing ink randomly of the snowflakes and embossed it with puff white embossing powder. After the embossing paste had completely dried on the card stock I did some ink blending. I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Holiday Greeting Mix 1 stamp set in white. Now it was time to adhere the die cut snowflakes to the edges of the cardstock. I cut apart a few of the snowflakes to make them into different sizes. And finally finished it off with some white gel pen dots. The picture really does not do justice to all the texture and sparkle this card has.
For the second snowflake card I went with a 5x7 card size. This card was easy, I created a metallic watercolor background using metallic watercolors. I die cut the Dainty Snowflake die with white card stock and gold glitter card stock. Just like the first card I cut apart a few of the snowflakes to make them into various sizes. For this card I also used the Solid snowflake which comes in this die set.
I added the sentiment with gold embossing powder to tie in the gold from the snowflakes. The sentiment is from the Holiday Greeting Mix 1 stamp set.
