Altenew: A Year In Review Blog Hop + Giveaway

Updated: Jan 6, 2022

Hello friends I am so glad you are joining me from Pam Boedeker blog, as we showcase our favorite projects from this year using Altenew products. For the hop today I chose four of my favorite projects from this year showcasing some Amazing Altenew Products. To celebrate Year 2021, Altenew has a giveaway in this hop. I have all the details to the Giveaway at the bottom of the page and I have added the blog order to the bottom of this post as well. So grab your favorite drink as I share my top 4 favorite cards from this Year- 2021!!!

This year has had its own set of ups and downs and among all that chaos and uncertenaties stamping and card making has been an amazing source of strength and calm in times of storm and weariness of life. Altenew came out with some awesome products this year including introducing the first Craft Your Life Project Kit and I was so honored and humbled to be a part of that release as a guest designer. I also believe that Altenew products has definitely pushed me to think many at times out of the box with coloring and coloring techniques. It was hard to pick just four of my favorites, but here they are.

For my first favorite card from this year I chose the PAF African Daisy Stamp card project. I stamped these African Daisies multiple times on a watercolor card stock using Altenew Obsidian Black ink and then pulled out my Altenew Artist watercolor pan set. The rich and vibrant colors of this pan set worked beautifully for my coloring of these flowers as well as for the background.

This card here was a part of the Celebrating Parents Blog Hop which was don't in March 2021. I made this card in honor of my Mom who has always been a strong fortress by my side. For this card I used BAF Cora Louise Peony stamp set which I colored using Altenew Artist Markers. I like the choice of colors in this card and also the die cut which added some interest to an otherwise very simple card.

These cards were made using the very first Altenew Carft Your Life Project Kit called Seasonal Blooms. The kit includes a beautiful stamp set, stencils and embossing flowers. I used the embossing folders to create make these cards. I did dry and heat embossing using the Embossing folder that comes in this kit. I first dry embossed the card and then went over the embossed area with as embossing ink and heat set that using Altenew Rose Gold embossing powder. The end result was just stunning. I did the technique on white and black card stock.

Finally the last one and my favorite card that I made this year. This card was created for Altenew's 7th Anniversary Blog Hop. I used the Inked Lotus Stamp set along with Altenew Artist Markers and Altenew Metallic watercolor paints to create a very ethereal background. This was one of those cards when finished I was like "DID I DO THAT".

I do want to thank Altenew for giving me an opportunity this year to be on some of their amazing blog hops as a Guest Designer and I can emphasize enough how much I appreciate the company, the People as well as the Products they make. And thank you to all of you readers and co artists who have been such an encouragement with positive thoughts and kind words. Love you ALL!! Look forward to another art filled New year.
